Leadership in the world of commercial real estate requires a solid website

Dickman has been a leader in commercial real estate, and they were Byte's first client and has been with us for 20+ years.

Overview

The Dickman Company is a commercial real estate company based in downtown Milwaukee, a local, independent real estate firm with a deep expertise in commercial property.

Dickman has been a leader in commercial real estate, and they were Byte's first client and has been with us for 20+ years. We've helped them lead with innovative, before-their-time search tools and interfaces online.

Process

The key to a good commercial real estate website is its ease of use and tools that lead people to properties, and the ability for the brokers to add and update available properties and recent transactions.

Real estate is an easy example where a simple search won't work. One can't search for something they don't know, and even a search for an attribute like 5000 sq ft won't see all the properties that match the true needs of the searcher. Having a toolset that get people started with a wider view and then being able to pare down their search is key, and in our world we call that "discovery."

We put the search / discovery tools up top and center long before competitors did, and we've improved on the experience with every site iteration. We also make it extremely simple to update properties and transactions with content and data management that's seamless and easy.

Service Level

One of the things that sets Byte apart from our industry is our service level. We create a website and CMS and have a simple promise that a client just can't break it, and if they do, it's on us to fix it at no extra charge.

We have multiple ways to get in touch, including a fully integrated issues manager that gives clients a central place to report issues right where they are and gives the the opportunity to see past issues and their solutions. Our turnaround time is measured in minutes to hours, and if all else fails, they can call the office where there's no phone trees or support triage people to get in the way of a quick resolution.
