Franklin Energy needs iControl to manage contractor web page templates, consumer information, and an energy college where your diploma earns you big savings.

The contractor template pages are indexed and searchable by zip code, services, and key words. The user has a simple interface to view web sites for hundres of contractors. Even better, the contractors who own the web sites can log-in at any time to update content, colors, pictures, and specials. We at Byte call this Template iControl, and it is ideal for intranets, association pages, user auctions, and classified ads.

Evergymatch.com goes farther than most energy sites, including a Children's Energy Schoolhouse with Franklin and Edison, a fox and a mouse who show kids how to use electricity in the safest way possible. Franklin and Edison were drawn frame by frame by Ed steckley, Byte Studios' Art Director. Ed is an accomplished illustrator and caricaturist, and won the silver "Nosey" NCN award in 2000.

The Energy College is for adults, and includes different chapters on simple and advanced energy and conservation ideas. When the user completes the college, she or he can print out a certificate good for fifteen percent off any contractor work by participating contractors. The chapters are designed to have the look and feel of a standard textbook. There are review questions at the end of each chapter, as well as a course exam after the user has completed all chapters.
