Web designer / developer
Designing / programming web sites, CD-Roms, video, motion graphics,
interfaces, and working deep in technology, including Flash, dHTML,
ASP or PHP, broadcasting, podcasting, alternative interfaces, music
production, 3d, etc.
You need to be really good at at least one of those things. Recent
graduates and people in unrelated fields are encouraged to apply,
but your style and verve will have to trump the lack of work experience.
The job will include lots of things outside of the world of design / programming,
including dealing with clients, managing some office duties, helping with
gallery night, helping with our upcoming retail space, and who knows what else.
You will probably never be bored, and you will need to thrive on new challenges
every day. This position will require lots of energy and time commitment,
especially in the first three months.
THINKING OUTSIDE OF THE BOX IS THE NUMBER ONE REQUISITE. Although we will
happily train you, being able to hand-code and program web sites will be
necessary, so if your heart is set on just design, this won't be the job
for you. Photoshop skills will be very important, but again we can get you
up to speed.
Sorry, no H1 visas, and no relocation on this position. We are an equal opportunity
employer, and encourage minorities, women, and non-traditional work / education
path people to apply.
